and the culture of flavours

Pesto Lab is located in the heart of Monterosso, very close to the splendid sea and a stone's throw from the cultivated terraces of the hill, 2 aspects of the territory that distinguish the 5 Terre park where for years with great difficulty "peasants with boats" have been able to harvest the fruits of territory giving life to the culture of flavors of the 5 Terre.


Pesto Lab, the result of an enlightened idea of its founder Davide Faravelli, is a precious resource for the culture of flavors of Monterosso and more generally of the 5 Terre, in the laboratory we work manually with ancient recipes that risk being distorted by modern electromechanical technologies that remove the precious contribution of the hands from each working phase.


Davide Faravelli with his artisan laboratory is one of the guardians of the great gastronomic culture typical of the area, love and passion for his land have contributed years of sacrifices to the creation of Baico with its dedicated brands.

Davide Faravelli, after a long experience as a pasta maker, moved to Monterosso and created an artisan laboratory with his collaborators where typical Ligurian excellences are produced, appreciated on all continents.


The raw materials used in the laboratory come from the sea and from the painstakingly cultivated terraced fields close to the village. Davide has a personal relationship with his suppliers, he knows the people and the activities, a direct contact with the raw materials which guarantees exceptional levels of genuineness and produces delicacies that are appreciated everywhere.

 

Pesto Lab preserves the ancient recipes and re-proposes them with the same artisan methods of processing, methodologies also made up of recurring gestures in the daily use of tools, manual techniques that guarantee constant levels of quality over time.

and the diffusion of flavors and knowledge

The commercial activity of Pesto Lab has recently been enhanced with the creation of this new E-commerce site, a tool that allows people who cannot go directly to Monterosso to still be able to buy the typical products offered by the laboratory shop.


Certainly a commercial operation but which nonetheless contributes to the diffusion of the flavors and knowledge of this surprising land which has attracted many tourists but also many intellectuals for decades, it is impossible not to be fascinated by the places.


Buying a Pesto Lab product is like taking a piece of the territory, and for those who have been there, the images and places are imbued with many memories.
